Rachel Henderson Interior Design is a full-scale residential interior design firm. RHID specializes in renovations and provides services that carry a project from concept to construction: design drawings, permit and construction document drafting, architectural finish selections, furnishing and furniture procurement.
Rachel earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Texas at Austin. Before opening her own practice in 2014, Rachel worked for Hello Kitchen / Rick & Cindy Black Architects and Fern Santini Design.
Rachel strives to create spaces that feel fresh, collected and comfortable. This is achieved with soft neutral palettes with vibrant color accents, a mix of traditional antiques with modern elements, and finding a balance of both casual and elegant. Fascinated by the patterns of the every day life, Rachel finds inspiration in her client's unique personalities and lifestyle, influencing creative solutions for functional and meaningful spaces.
RHID is a founding member of Design Narrative, a collaborative studio office in downtown Austin. Rachel is a native Austinite, living in Crestview with her husband George, and new baby boy, Harvey.
